Packing Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Pay: 20.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Penmac Staffing is hiring a Packaging Operator for a manufacturing facility in Springfield, MO. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment. The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating packaging and production equipment, ensuring product quality, maintaining a safe work environment, and meeting daily production goals. Requirements for the Packaging Operator

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and climb throughout the shift
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, gloves, and face masks as needed
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet, and manufacturing environments
• Comfortable working around common manufacturing allergens

Packaging Operator Responsibilities

• Operate sacking and packaging equipment according to production schedules and specifications
• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality and packaging standards
• Verify bag weights, labeling accuracy, sequencing, and cleanout procedures
• Notify plant leadership of quality concerns or out-of-specification conditions
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as assigned
• Complete production paperwork, work orders, and required documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following sanitation standards
• Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
• Communicate equipment or production issues with supervisors and team members
• Assist with training and mentoring new employees once qualified
• Participate in required training programs and work overtime as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership
