Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer
Indianapolis, IN | 2–5 Years of Experience
We are partnering with an established MEP consulting engineering firm in the White Plains area seeking a Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer with approximately 3–5 years of U.S. consulting engineering experience.
This position will support the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, multifamily residential, hospitality, healthcare, laboratory, and institutional facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building types
- Perform field investigations and existing-condition surveys
- Complete engineering calculations, analysis, and equipment selections
- Develop construction drawings and design documentation
- Prepare designs using AutoCAD and Revit
- Coordinate plumbing and fire protection systems with other engineering disciplines
- Assist with construction administration and project-related field activities
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior-level team members
- Communicate effectively with internal project teams and other project stakeholders
Qualifications
- Approximately 3–5 years of plumbing and/or fire protection design experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment
- Experience with a well-rounded project portfolio such as healthcare, laboratories, commercial, residential, hospitality, or institutional facilities
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to mentor and assist entry-level engineering staff
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- CPD and/or LEED accreditation is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment
Full-time position with a primarily in-office schedule and remote Mondays.
