Quality Inspector

IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector (First Article) for a specializing in high-precision, deep-drawn metal components like eyelets, housings, and enclosures for medical, aerospace, defense, and electronics industries located in Tustin, CA. 

Inspector Associate

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day

Requirements:

·         Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

·         A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are essential.

·         Must understand customer focus as well as customer service both internally and externally.

·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously.

·         Provide support to Machine Operators, Inspectors and Toolmakers when needed

·         Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Excel, & Word.

·         Practices a teamwork approach.

·         Ability to follow established procedures.

·         XYZ Coordinate measurement experience using OGP Smart Scope.

·         Well versed in Blue Print interpretation with the ability to conduct detailed first piece inspection.

·         Familiar with ISO 9001.

Responsibilities:

·         Perform First Article Inspections

·         Prepare “Inspection Packs” for production

·         Prepare gage kits for new B numbers when required

·         Ensure the integrity of gages by inspecting them before they are issued to toolmakers

·         Repair or coordinate the repair (when toolmaker is required to assist) for damaged gages

·         Assemble height gages and force gages as required

·         Requisition the purchase of new gages as necessary

·         Maintain calibration system (including recall) using GageTrak

·         Issue and return kits / gages in GageTrak

·         Perform in house calibration

·         Coordinate outside calibration

·         Generate material certifications for Floor Inspectors when requested

·         Assist QC Manager as required

·         Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times

·         2 to 5 years experience.

Compensation: $23 - $27/hr. DOE
