Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R or RCIS certification.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology unit within a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Performs all diagnostic procedures including PCI (stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rotablator, Impella, IABP, CTO)
- Structural Heart procedures including TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, and Watchman
- Electrophysiology procedures including EPS, Afib/flutter ablations, and BIV pacemaker implants
- Uses Epic for charting
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required one day per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (not both)
- WA state RT or CIS license required (not both) - license required if applicable
- Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
- Rhythm interpretation skills preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, room circulator duties, and maintaining sterile field as scrub
- Performs electrophysiology procedures including arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
- Performs cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, cardiac stent placement, and temporary pacemaker insertion
- Coil embolization skills preferred
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for travel contracts
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process
