School Psychologist - Shiprock, NM

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students’ academic and behavioral success as a School Psychologist or Diagnostician in a dynamic K-12 environment. This contract opportunity is based onsite and covers a district-wide assignment, providing vital assessment and consultative services. Engage with a diverse caseload, manage 30-40 evaluations, and contribute to positive outcomes for students, educators, and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or Doctorate in School Psychology or related field
• Current NM PED School Psychologist License
• Ability and willingness to travel between schools within the district
• Outstanding assessment, communication, and consultation skills
• Deep understanding of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
• Commitment to ethical, evidence-based practices in student support

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and eligibility evaluations
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on intervention planning
• Interpret assessment data to help guide student interventions and programming
• Provide professional consultation regarding behavior management and academic supports
• Support student growth and wellness through crisis intervention, as needed
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services and recommendations
• Deliver services onsite across multiple school locations as assigned
