As an educator dedicated to fostering students’ growth both academically and emotionally, you will play a central role in classrooms where mental health is a core focus. With campuses located in both Palo Alto and San Jose, each classroom features a supportive low student-to-teacher ratio of 1:12, ensuring the ability to form meaningful connections and deliver personalized instruction.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Mild/Moderate (M/M) Education Specialist Credential (required)
- Experience supporting students with behavioral needs in a school setting
- Familiarity with mental health support or a strong desire to develop in this area
- Open to CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training, provided by the school
- Ability to adapt lesson planning for diverse K-12 learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement IEPs and deliver individualized instruction to K-12 students in Mild/Moderate SPED
- Collaborate closely with school-based teams, including mental health professionals
- Proactively support positive behaviors, applying techniques learned through training
- Foster a nurturing, structured classroom environment
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
