As an educator dedicated to fostering students’ growth both academically and emotionally, you will play a central role in classrooms where mental health is a core focus. With campuses located in both Palo Alto and San Jose, each classroom features a supportive low student-to-teacher ratio of 1:12, ensuring the ability to form meaningful connections and deliver personalized instruction.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California Mild/Moderate (M/M) Education Specialist Credential (required)
  • Experience supporting students with behavioral needs in a school setting
  • Familiarity with mental health support or a strong desire to develop in this area
  • Open to CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training, provided by the school
  • Ability to adapt lesson planning for diverse K-12 learners

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement IEPs and deliver individualized instruction to K-12 students in Mild/Moderate SPED
  • Collaborate closely with school-based teams, including mental health professionals
  • Proactively support positive behaviors, applying techniques learned through training
  • Foster a nurturing, structured classroom environment
  • Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Impact students’ lives in a holistic, mental-health-centered environment
  • Sites with robust teamwork and ongoing support for special educators
  • Full-time, 35 hour/week schedule with consistent hours through the end of the school year
  • Multiple positions available to join a spirited, mission-driven community

Comprehensive benefits include highly competitive compensation, weekly pay, a full suite of insurance options (medical, dental, vision, life), a matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.

If you’re driven to empower K-12 students and have the credential and skill set to make a lasting difference, we encourage you to apply now. Advance your career while supporting the whole child in an inspiring educational setting.
