Job Description
Make a direct impact supporting middle school students as a Sign Language Interpreter on a part-time contract basis. This position is located near Ramona, OK, with the opportunity to work directly with a single student in a middle school setting. The role is scheduled from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm CST, offering a focused workday with potential for increased hours as needs evolve.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 required
- Previous experience providing educational interpreting in school settings preferred
- Comfortable working in a 1:1 setting with middle school students
- Willingness to provide services onsite (VOCO candidates considered, onsite is preferred)
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear, effective sign language interpretation for a middle school student during academic activities
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and educational staff
- Ensure accurate and confidential interpretation of classroom instruction, discussions, and related communications
- Support student participation in all aspects of the school day
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in line with district and industry guidelines
