Pay Rate: $20/hr (Paid Weekly)
Schedule: Alternating weekly shifts

Contract to Hire: 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
License Required: Active and clear Texas Pharmacy Technician License
Dress Code: Per departmental policy

Schedule

Week 1 – Opening Shift:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Week 2 – Closing Shift:

  • Monday–Friday: 11:30 AM–8:30 PM

Every Other Weekend:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Overtime, holidays, and additional weekend coverage may be required or expected.

Position Overview

The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports daily pharmacy fulfillment operations by accurately picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and preparing prescription orders for final verification by a pharmacist. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a production-oriented environment, and compliance with pharmacy procedures, HIPAA requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
  • Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
  • Pull medications from shelving, prepack racks, and other designated storage areas.
  • Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
  • Alert the pharmacist of medications or products that do not scan properly.
  • Process returned medications according to established procedures.
  • Prepack frequently ordered medications during lower-volume periods.
  • Manually package medications, materials, and products.
  • Maintain designated workstations and replenish necessary supplies.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
  • Comply with departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Active and clear Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to work at a moderate pace while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience with medication packaging, prescription fulfillment, or pharmacy operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to sit or stand for approximately 7–10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office and pharmacy equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read fine print, including close and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to hear normal voice sounds.

The Pharmacy Floor Technician must maintain reliable attendance, follow all safety and operational procedures, and remain flexible regarding overtime, holidays, and weekend coverage as business needs require.
