Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Valparaiso, Indiana

• Credentialed Sign Language Interpreter with experience in educational settings
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Demonstrated ability to interpret effectively between ASL and spoken English
• Familiarity working with DHH students is highly valued

What You’ll Do:

• Provide on-site interpretation for a DHH student
• Work daily from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (30 hours per week)
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
• Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and peer interactions
• Support the student’s participation in all aspects of the school day
• Collaborate with educators to optimize an inclusive learning experience
