Position Title: Pharmacy Shipping Technician

Location: Chesterfield, MO 63005

Expected Duration: 6 months with Possible of extension

Pay Rate: $23/hr

Shift time: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week; shifts between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM CST

Position Purpose:

We are seeking a Pharmacy Shipping Technician to join the shipping fulfillment team. This role will support medication shipping operations, help manage increased workload during the ScriptMed Cloud conversion, assist with remaining testing, and provide coverage while an FTE is on leave.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of shipping, receiving, packing, warehouse, ordering, or logistics experience, strong attention to detail, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy fulfillment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine the best shipping method based on patient-care and cost considerations.
• Package medications, supplies, and required documentation for shipment.
• Prepare accurate shipping labels and verify patient/customer information.
• Sort packages according to delivery method and ensure proper storage before shipment.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Follow up with patients, customers, and shipping vendors when needed.
• Coordinate delivery claims and related documentation.
• Monitor and record refunds and reimbursements from claims.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and vendor correspondence.
• Complete all required documentation for medication and supply deliveries.
• Obtain required signatures and return documentation to the pharmacy.
• Sort and distribute incoming packages.
• Handle office mail, packages, supplies, equipment, and other materials as needed.
• Use carts and other small moving equipment to transport materials and equipment.
• Process certified, registered, express, and other shipments according to applicable procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, packing, ordering, warehouse, logistics, or a related environment.
• Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required.
• • Candidates who are not currently licensed may be considered but must apply for the Missouri Pharmacy Technician License on Day 1.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong accountability and ability to follow procedures.
• Comfortable handling confidential information.
