Job Details

• Position: Medical Assistant 
• Location: Jacksonville, FL
• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
• Pay: $21 per hour

Requirements

• Medical Assistant diploma required
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience
• Current hands-on BLS certification
• Current TB test
• Reliable, professional, and able to problem-solve

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and rehabilitation services
• Assist providers with patient assessments, procedures, and follow-up care
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals as needed
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Monitor and stock exam rooms, treatment areas, and medical supplies

• Strong patient care and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient information
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices
