Special Education Teacher - Live Oak, California

Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role is based onsite in a supportive educational environment near Live Oak, CA. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team, providing specialized instruction and guidance to students who benefit from individualized support.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility for certification)
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads and comply with documentation requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to various learning styles and abilities
• Develop, revise, and maintain IEPs in collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate
• Advocate for students’ educational and behavioral needs within the school community
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to families and staff
• Participate in relevant professional development and school meetings
• Maintain all documentation according to district and state guidelines

This position offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek beginning September 14, 2026, and concluding on June 4, 2027. You’ll have the opportunity to receive additional information on caseload specifics and daily responsibilities as the assignment approaches, ensuring you are well-prepared to support your students from day one.
