This opportunity is perfect for passionate Special Education Teachers with Mild/Moderate credentials who are eager to work across multiple campuses in the Palo Alto and San Jose area. Your focus will be on fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere with a student-to-teacher ratio of 1:12, helping students thrive both academically and emotionally.

Ideal candidates bring strong classroom behavior management skills and are committed to promoting positive mental health supports within educational settings. If you have an active California Mild/Moderate (M/M) credential and are enthusiastic about ongoing professional development—including training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)—you’ll be well positioned to make an immediate impact.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid California Mild/Moderate (M/M) Special Education Credential required
  • Proven experience supporting students with behavioral needs in classroom settings
  • Willingness to work with a mental health-focused curriculum
  • K-12 experience preferred, covering multiple grade levels
  • Eagerness to receive further training in CPI and other intervention techniques

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students across Mild/Moderate classrooms
  • Implement IEPs while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize positive behavioral supports and data-driven strategies
  • Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all learners
  • Prioritize students’ emotional and academic growth

By joining this educational mission, you’ll benefit from highly competitive compensation, weekly pay cycles, a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life), matching 401k, and access to a flexible spending account. Work a 35-hour week with the chance to expand your expertise and truly make a difference.

Take the next step in your special education teaching career—apply today to become a valuable advocate and mentor for students who need you!

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
