Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will work closely with patients in their home setting. Your expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology will be essential in developing effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
- A degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Clinical experience in pediatrics or school settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and early intervention practices.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to speech and language development.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance plans
- Familiarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to comply with all regulatory standards
- Masters degree in speech language pathology or related field
- >1 year speech language pathology experience
- Active state SLP license
- ASHA certification preferred
- CPR certification
