Sheet Metal Fabricator / Installer – East Baton Rouge Parish

Full-Time – Evaluation Hire

$20/hr+ depending on experience

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am-4:30 pm

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Installer for a local company in Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products for commercial and industrial projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and can perform effectively both independently and as part of a team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Sheet Metal Fabricator / Installer:

• Fabricate sheet metal components according to drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Operate fabrication equipment including shears, brakes, rollers, plasma cutters, and related machinery.
• Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
• Install ductwork, flashing, trim, specialty sheet metal, and other fabricated components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project requirements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and fellow team members to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or installation preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Valid driver's license REQUIRED
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.
