Location

Position: Lead Electrical Engineer

Location: Madison, WI

Compensation: $75k-$95k Based on Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience designing industrial electrical systems within a consulting engineering firm or design-build electrical contractor environment.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA standards.
Proficiency with Revit, SKM Power Tools, and lighting analysis software.
Experience supporting equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning activities.
Excellent technical writing, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Preferred:

Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience in several of the following areas:
- Power distribution systems
- AC drives and motor controls
- Lighting and lighting control systems
- Gas detection systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Lightning protection systems
Knowledge of medium-voltage systems, power regeneration technologies, and energy reduction initiatives.
Previous commissioning and field start-up experience.
