Aluminum Fabrication Welder -- GTAW/GMAW (AWS D1.2, 2G)

What your day looks like

You’ll spend your shift producing clean, consistent welds on aluminum components using both MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW). You’ll read blueprints to plan each joint, verify your work with inspection tools, and keep your area organized and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform production welding on aluminum parts using MIG and TIG processes
• Interpret and follow blueprints to set up, fit, and weld to spec
• Inspect welds and verify quality using fillet gauges and other inspection tooling
• Use decimal tape measures, gauges, fixtures, calipers, micrometers, and assorted QA equipment
• Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and follow safety rules at every step

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on aluminum welding experience with both TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW)
• Ability to pass the AWS D1.2 welder qualification for GTAW and GMAW in the 2G position
• Familiarity with weld inspection tools (e.g., fillet gauges)

Physical requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort with standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
