Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital unit treating adult and geriatric patients
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Minimum two weekend day shifts per month required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Patient population includes cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics conditions
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- CA state license required if applicable
- Trauma Level II hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in adaptive devices, AROM/AAROM/PROM, body mechanics, and vital sign monitoring required
- Experience with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, walkers, sliding boards, and supplemental oxygen delivery required
- Strong documentation skills including evaluations, care plans, and discharge planning required
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination within an acute care setting
- Vestibular and women's health specialty experience is a plus
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply with the required acute care experience
