Maintenance engineer
We are seeking a Maintenance engineer to join our team to help ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our properties and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic, common sense, and a proactive approach to problem solving; to learn property maintenance skills. Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Have availability between the hours of 7am and 7pm as well as 2 or 3 on-call shifts per week
- Be willing to learn and take direction
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Prior maintenance knowledge is a plus but not necessary. We will train the right person
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on guestrooms, buildings, and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, then execute repairs promptly to minimize guest dissatisfaction
- Perform painting, drywall repair, carpentry, maintain building exterior
- Fix basic plumbing issues (leaks, clogs), lighting, electrical issues etc.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory
- Check and maintain pool chemistry
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, brand standards, and company policies
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.
