Activity Aide

Capstone Center is looking for a full-time 12 pm-8pm activity aide! , they help develop and share a variety of interactive and enjoyable programs to foster mental and physical health while boosting moral and activity.

 
Activity Aide Job description:

• Run daily group programs like bingo, music hours, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.

• Transport Residents: Help residents get to and from the activity room safely using wheelchairs or walkers.

• Setup and Cleanup: Arrange chairs, tables, and equipment before events begin and pack them away afterward.

• Track Attendance: Keep daily records of who joins each event to measure resident participation.

• Provide One-on-One Visits: Spend time with roombound residents to offer conversation and personal engagement.

• Report Changes: Notice changes in a resident's mood or behavior and share updates with the nursing staff.

Activity Aide Job Requirements

• Preferred experience in a long-term care facility.

• High school diploma

• Interpersonal Skills: A warm, patient, and energetic attitude when working with older adults.
