Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (Part-Time)

Job Summary:
New Patterns ABA VA is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians to join our team. As an RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients. About the Role:
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in-home and community-based settings, providing 1:1 therapy to clients. You will implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA, collect and record data on client progress and behaviors, and assist in the development of behavior intervention strategies. You will also participate in team meetings and training sessions, maintain a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families, and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in-home and community-based settings

  • Implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA

  • Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors

  • Assist in the development of behavior intervention strategies

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions

  • Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Current RBT certification through the BACB (preferred)

  • Reliable transportation

  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities (preferred)

  • Flexibility, empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented, client-centered approach

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, timeliness, and effective time management skills
