Retail Store Manager

Batteries Plus is seeking a full-time Retail Store Manager to join our team in Macon, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new location while becoming part of a team built on excellence, innovation, teamwork, and outstanding customer service. Offering $45,000 - $60,000 peryear and 2 weeks of paid time off per year, this role is ideal for a retail leader who is ready to contribute!

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including peak seasons and special events. The Retail Store Manager must be able to work at multiple store locations as needed and travel locally up to 15% of the time.

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• 3+ years of retail management and supervisory experience
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures and financial statements
• Basic knowledge of electronics, including the ability to accurately read gauges and work with hands
• Ability to effectively manage confrontation in a controlled and courteous manner
• Ability to calculate simple math, percentages, and ratios
• Ability to become forklift certified (if not already)
• Ability to work at multiple store locations and travel locally up to 15% of the time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more
• Degree in business or retail management (preferred)
• Commercial (outside) sales experience (preferred)

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A RETAIL STORE MANAGER

As a Retail Store Manager, you will lead by example while promoting a customer-first mentality throughout the store. You will implement retail and in-store selling programs, establish and monitor sales goals, and collaborate with the commercial sales team to support business growth and customer satisfaction. Throughout the day, you will support order processing and customer service initiatives while ensuring merchandising, inventory, and safety standards are consistently maintained. You will oversee assistant managers, manage controllable expenses to help control costs, and schedule team members based on business needs. You will also play a key role in developing a high-performing team through coaching, recognition, and evaluations while recruiting talented individuals who will contribute to the positive culture and continued success of the store.
