Job Title: Environmental Planner / Environmental Scientist Location: Suffern, NY Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $68,000.00 to $75,000.00 Hours: 40.0 hours per week

Responsibilities • Assist in the management of environmental review projects and technical analyses from project initiation through completion. • Perform environmental and zoning regulatory analyses. • Prepare and oversee technical sections of Environmental Impact Statements (DEIS/FEIS), Environmental Assessments, and related environmental review documents. • Conduct environmental analyses involving natural resources, wetlands, water resources, ecological systems, land use compatibility, and cumulative impacts. • Coordinate and review technical studies prepared by subconsultants and subject matter experts. • Identify potential environmental impacts and develop practical mitigation strategies. • Support permitting and regulatory compliance efforts under applicable state and federal programs. • Prepare technical reports with appropriate exhibits, maps, and graphics. • Work directly with clients, municipal boards, regulatory agencies, and project teams. • Participate in public meetings and hearings and assist with responses to agency and public comments. • Mentor and supervise junior environmental staff and provide quality control review of technical work products.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Policy, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred. • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, 5 or more years preferred. • Demonstrated experience preparing or managing environmental review documents under SEQRA and/or NEPA; CEQR experience is a plus. • Strong understanding of New York environmental regulations, permitting processes, and environmental review procedures. • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and managing project schedules and budgets. • Excellent technical writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills. • Experience presenting before municipal boards, agencies, or at public hearings is desirable. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with GIS and environmental data analysis tools is preferred. • Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments in a collaborative consulting environment.
