Job Description
Build Relationships. Solve Problems. Keep Customers Moving.
At DeWys Metal Solutions, we’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys building customer relationships, and knows how to keep a lot of moving pieces organized.
You’ll be a key connection between our customers and teams across DeWys—making sure information is clear, priorities are understood, commitments are followed through, and customers have a great experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and making things happen.
What You'll Do
You’ll manage customer relationships while coordinating closely with teams across our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Build strong customer relationships. Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and develop trusted, long-term partnerships.
- Keep communication moving. Provide customers and internal teams with clear, timely updates about orders, priorities, changes, risks, and expectations.
- Stay ahead of issues. Monitor open orders, forecasts, inventory, and customer needs to identify potential problems before they impact the customer.
- Manage competing priorities. Quickly determine what needs attention, adjust as priorities change, and maintain strong follow-through.
- Connect the dots internally. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Estimating, Purchasing, Finance, Shipping, and other teams to solve problems and meet customer commitments.
- Support customer growth. Understand customer products, forecasts, and business needs while helping identify opportunities to strengthen and grow accounts.
- Support new programs. Help coordinate new customers and products from the initial request through successful production launch.
- Maintain accurate information. Keep customer contacts, pricing, quotations, forecasts, orders, and other account information accurate and up to date.
- Help solve problems. Coordinate customer concerns, quality issues, rework, replacements, credits, and other needs through resolution.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll know you’re succeeding when customers receive timely and accurate communication, commitments are followed through, potential issues are identified early, and internal teams have the information they need to deliver.
You’ll also help strengthen customer retention, order and data accuracy, forecast management, on-time delivery performance, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Can quickly determine what is urgent, important, and actionable.
- Communicates clearly and concisely—both verbally and in writing.
- Has excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Moves quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
- Uses sound judgment and knows when to make a decision and when to escalate.
- Remains professional and solution-focused when challenges arise.
- Enjoys collaborating across departments and building strong working relationships.
- Thinks about both the customer experience and the needs of the business.
- Looks for ways to improve processes rather than simply working around them.
Experience We're Looking For
Required:
- Experience succeeding in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP, CRM, and other business systems.
Preferred:
- Previous inside sales, account management, customer service, or similar experience in manufacturing.
- Experience working with ERP systems, sales orders, forecasts, inventory, or production-related customer information.
- Experience supporting contract manufacturing or B2B customers.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
