The RN Second Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations during the evening shift, ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support. This position serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight for nursing operations during second shift
Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care
Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
Conduct shift reports and facilitate communication between departments and shifts
Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance improvement initiatives
Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Investigate and report incidents, resident concerns, and changes in condition
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a resident-centered culture
Current, active, and unencumbered North Carolina or Compact State RN License
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing
Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
