Patient Scheduler

Description:

 River Valley Health is seeking a highly organized, quick-thinking Patient Scheduler to keep our medical services running smoothly. You’ll be the planner behind the scenes — coordinating appointments, optimizing provider schedules, and ensuring patients get timely access to care.

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily schedules for primary care providers
• Book, adjust, and confirm patient appointments
• Anticipate scheduling conflicts and solve them before they become problems
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and support staff
• Maintain accuracy in our scheduling and EMR systems
• Support front-desk operations as needed

Requirements:

 

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

· Excellent communication and customer service abilities

· Ability to remain calm and effective during busy or stressful periods

· Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, etc.) preferred

· Familiarity with medical terminology is helpful

Previous experience in medical scheduling, front desk operations, or healthcare office setting is strongly preferred
