Job Summary
As a Maintenance Helper, you will assist with general maintenance tasks and support the maintenance team in keeping equipment, work areas, and operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable using basic hand tools, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance and repair tasks
- Use basic hand tools safely and appropriately
- Help troubleshoot and address basic equipment or facility issues
- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and preventative maintenance
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Follow instructions, safety procedures, and established work practices
- Assist with moving materials, tools, and equipment as needed
- Support the maintenance team with additional tasks and projects as assigned
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous maintenance, mechanical, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is preferred
- Basic understanding of math and measurements
- Comfortable working with basic hand tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible and willing to work weekends as scheduled
- Reliable transportation to and from the Martinsburg, West Virginia worksite
Schedule
2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Multiple schedule options are available:
- Sunday–Thursday
- Tuesday–Saturday
- Sunday–Tuesday, off Wednesday–Thursday, then Friday–Saturday
Weekend flexibility is required.
Compensation
$18.62 per hour
Working Conditions
This is a hands-on position in an active work environment. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and work with tools and equipment for extended periods. Candidates should be comfortable working at a steady pace while following safety procedures and maintaining a positive attitude.
