- Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled and dependable Bagger Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift production team.
- The Bagger Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, sanitizing, and performing necessary maintenance on bagging machines and other production equipment.
- The ideal candidate will have previous machine operation experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food production environment.
- This position focuses on meeting production goals while minimizing waste and rework and maintaining high standards for food and workplace safety.
- Candidates who successfully complete the required contract hours and meet performance expectations may have the opportunity to transition to direct hire.
- Responsibilities:
- Operate automated film wrappers, baggers, molders, and other production machinery according to product specifications.
- Set up and monitor machinery to maximize production and minimize waste and rework.
- Perform quality checks, food safety checks, and complete all required production paperwork accurately.
- Troubleshoot equipment as necessary and perform routine cleaning and general maintenance of the workspace.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous machine operation experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of safety practices, including LOTO, PPE, and machine guarding.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in variable indoor temperatures, including cold environments around 32°ree;F.
- Reliable attendance and a dependable work ethic.
