We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Butterfly Home Care - Manassas in Prince William County, VA. As a Personal Care Assistant with our organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
This position requires lifting / transferring up to 115 lbs, supporting a client with personal care and transportation to medical appointments. Client smokes tobacco. Located in Woodbridge, VA 22193. Part time initially with potential for full time hours.
As a caregiver with Butterfly Home Care of Manassas, you will provide personalized support that helps each client remain safe, comfortable, independent, and engaged in the life they choose.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Providing medication reminders and assisting with self-administration of medications within the caregiver’s permitted scope
Assisting with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and repositioning as needed
Preparing meals and providing assistance with eating when appropriate
Providing companionship and engaging clients in meaningful activities that support their physical, emotional, and social well-being
Encouraging independence and supporting each client’s individual abilities, preferences, routines, and goals
Observing clients for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Assisting with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe home environment
Following each client’s individualized plan of care and Butterfly Home Care policies and procedures
We are looking for dependable, compassionate individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others and understand the importance of treating every person with dignity and respect.
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to safely assist with lifting, transferring, repositioning, and mobility needs when required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team
Dependable, patient, respectful, and compassionate
Ability to work independently while remaining connected to and supported by our care team
Commitment to protecting client privacy and maintaining confidentiality
Previous caregiving, personal care, DSP, PCA, CNA, or related experience preferred
