Shipper/Receiver Reach Truck Operator - 77066

 

Location: Houston, TX 77066

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

 

We are seeking an experienced Shipper / Receiver with Reach Truck experience for a busy warehouse operation in the 77066 area of Houston. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with shipping and receiving, operating both reach trucks and sit-down forklifts, using RF scanners, and completing warehouse transactions on a computer.

 

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule.

 

Perform daily shipping and receiving duties

Receive, verify, and put away incoming materials and products

Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment

Operate a reach truck/reach lift to retrieve and put away product

Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently

Load and unload trucks as needed

Use an RF scanner for picking, receiving, inventory, and product movement

Verify quantities, item numbers, and shipping/receiving documentation

Enter and update information accurately in warehouse computer systems

Assist with inventory counts and inventory control

Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments

Follow all warehouse and equipment safety procedures

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed

 

Previous reach truck/reach lift experience required

Previous shipping and receiving experience required

Experience operating a sit-down forklift

Experience using RF scanners

Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Comfortable performing computer-based shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Dependable with a strong attendance record

Ability to work the full Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule

Candidates must have actual reach truck/reach lift experience in addition to general forklift and warehouse experience.
