Director of Nursing

At Bezalel Rehabilitation and Nursing, we are committed to providing high-quality, resident-centered care. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Department and ensure the highest standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Nursing Department.

• Ensure compliance with federal and New York State regulations.

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff.

• Maintain readiness for DOH, CMS, and other regulatory surveys.

• Ensure adequate staffing and maintain staff competencies.

• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Participate in QAPI and quality improvement initiatives.

• Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance.

• Address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances.

• Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to promote quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, active NYS RN license.

• Extensive nursing home/long-term care experience.

• Previous DON or senior nursing leadership experience required.

• Strong knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey processes.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with SigmaCare EMR preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and a high level of professionalism.
