We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Manager with the installation, repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and facility systems.

This position requires someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and industrial troubleshooting experience who can assist with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, fabrication, welding, and general maintenance needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain operational readiness of facility infrastructure and equipment.

  • Perform and assist with preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and assist with repairs involving:

    • Industrial electrical systems

    • Hydraulic systems

    • Pneumatic systems

    • Mechanical equipment

  • Assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment.

  • Follow established maintenance procedures.

  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

  • Assist with maintaining maintenance parts and inventory.

  • Help reduce equipment downtime and improve operational uptime.

  • Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping.

  • Safely operate forklifts, manlifts, and other equipment as needed.

  • Assist with fabrication, welding, plumbing, and other maintenance-related tasks.

  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.

Must have:

  • Previous industrial maintenance experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.

  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems – 480V / 3-phase.

  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • General knowledge of equipment repair and preventative maintenance.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, including working around hazardous materials.

  • Ability to follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Safety-conscious and dependable.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to make decisions independently.

  • Able to work effectively and respectfully with others.

Additional experience preferred:

  • Welding and fabrication

  • Plumbing

  • Forklift/manlift operation
