Job Title: Travel Charge Nurse – RN/LPN/LVN
Job Type: Travel – Full-Time
Contract: 13 weeks, with possible renewal
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Available Shifts:
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Location: Las Vegas, New Mexico
Benefits: Contract employees are exempt from benefits.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Charge Nurse, you will provide nursing care within your scope of practice while serving as a clinical resource and leader for the nursing team during your shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring delivery of high-quality care, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during your supervisory shift.
Serving as a resource to nursing staff regarding the quality and delivery of resident care.
Providing direct resident care when needed.
Administering medications and treatments timely and according to facility policy.
Receiving, transcribing, and carrying out physician orders as permitted by the Nurse Practice Act.
Effectively managing nursing personnel during your shift.
Helping limit unnecessary overtime and agency utilization.
Monitoring the work performance of nursing staff to ensure unit standards of care are maintained.
Conducting regular staff meetings on your shift and communicating important updates to the DON.
Promoting a safe, respectful, and team-oriented environment.
Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational/Licensed Practical Nursing program or an approved Registered Nursing program.
Current RN, LPN, or LVN license in the state of practice, as applicable.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the nursing team.
