Small Enginer Repair Shop Manager

Duties

• Lead and coordinate daily shop operations, ensuring timely repair of small engines and power equipment
• Supervise service technicians, providing guidance on diagnostics, repairs, and best practices
• Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs, maintaining optimal stock levels
• Review repair schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues such as diesel engine problems or electrical faults
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace that adheres to industry standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering solutions to clients’ needs

Qualifications

• Proven experience or background in automotive or equipment repair is highly preferred
• Service technician experience with small engines, generators, heavy machinery or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, engines, and mechanical components
• Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues
• Hands-on experience with maintenance, electrical work (including soldering), welding, and running point of sale systems
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively
• Customer service-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to interact with clients confidently
