Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX. 
 
Job Details: 
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm 
Location: San Antonio, TX 78258
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 1 Year  (Possibility of extension or conversion )
Pay Range: $20 to $23/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
Duties: 

• Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Record and document patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians and providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and other basic clinical procedures as permitted.
• Administer medications and injections under provider direction.
• Perform point-of-care testing, including COVID-19, flu, and other screenings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR/EHR system.

Requirements: 

• Education: High school diploma or GED 
• Certification(s): Current Medical Assistant Certification and BLS
• Years of experience: 1+ years of Medical assistant experience
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: MS Word; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; MS Outlook; EHR/EMR 
• Preferably Bilingual in English and Spanish
