Commercial Lead HVAC Project Technician

LEAD TECHNICIAN for Commercial HVAC Projects

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience Required: 5+ Years in the field.
• Ability to read and understand plans
• Experience with building, designing and installing sheetmetal
• Experience with wiring, gas line, water, and brazing
• Familiar with best practices for commercial installation
• Familiar with OSHA regulations
• Experience with chillers and cooling towers is a plus but not required
• Experience with pipefitting is a plus but not required
• Ability to work as a team and give instruction when needed
• Certifications: Driver's License (REQUIRED) Must have clean driving record and pass background check and drug test.
• EPA card required
• Have thorough and complete understanding of refrigeration function and theory with the ability to share knowledge with and assist in training assistants.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed for each job
• Remove, repair and install commercial HVAC related items such as: Air Conditioners, furnaces, packaged units, duct work, water source Heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, thermostats, air filters and filtration systems, zoning systems and dampers, low and high voltage wiring.
• Proficiently use tools necessary to perform required task(s); including gauges, reclaiming machines, hand tools, and ladders.
• demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers from all departments including management staff.
• Communicate effectively with customers and educate them on newly installed equipment.
• Guide and lead apprentices to perform efficiently and effectively
