Job Description:
As a Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems within a commercial facility. This role is suited for a hands-on commercial HVAC/R service technician with strong troubleshooting and repair experience with little to no supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC/R equipment
- Replace compressors and evaporator coils
- Recover, evacuate, and charge refrigerant systems
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
- Perform leak detection and system performance testing
- Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Document maintenance and repair activity
Equipment Serviced
- 1 – 12-ton Trane package unit
- 12 – 10-ton Trane package units
- 3 – 5-ton Carrier split systems
- 2 – Mueller process water chillers
- 1 – Mueller glycol chiller
- 2 – Trenton 7.5 HP freezer condensers
- Various smaller AC units, exhaust fans, and makeup-air fans
Requirements
- 3–5 years of commercial HVAC/R experience preferred
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience with:
- Compressor replacement
- Evaporator coil replacement
- Refrigerant recovery and charging
- Electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting
- Commercial HVAC and refrigeration service
- EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred
- HVAC/R certification or technical training preferred
- Ability to work independently and diagnose equipment failures
- Must have appropriate HVAC hand tools

Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
