Description:

Job Summary

The Calibration/Metrology Tech II will perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, pneumatic, and pressure-measuring equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Calibrate electronic test and measuring equipment according to established standards.
  • Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pressure instruments.
  • Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures using specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective equipment components such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions.
  • Gather, maintain, and analyze technical data and perform mathematical calculations.
  • Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or other established procedures.
  • Prepare reports and interpret test/calibration data.
  • Identify process or equipment concerns and recommend improvements.
  • May provide guidance to new or entry-level technicians.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of technical systems, procedures, and equipment gained through work experience or education.
  • Good with hands and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfortable learning new tasks and technical processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical components/equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with technical data and perform detailed calculations.
  • Vocational/technical education or certification may be required in addition to experience.
