SSC Electrician - Now Hiring

Description:

 SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

This position does not supervise others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

• Performing electrical work and preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment 
• Repairing cranes, starters, conveyer belts, single phase and three phase motors, and any other pieces of equipment
• Installing breakers, light fixtures, wiring, outlets, and other electrical equipment based on technical blueprints and job orders
• Documenting all work completed and materials used

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• 2 – 3 years of electrical experience
• Understanding and ability to adhere to safety procedures
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment, and change contact tips
• Ability to use meters, wrenches and sockets, basic hand tools, hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools
• Ability to withstand heights for working on cranes
• Ability to drive a forklift

Preferred: 

• Ability to operate lifts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

• Bending
• Kneeling
• Climbing
• Squatting
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Not climate-controlled
• Foundry environment

Requirements:

Compensation details: 25-27 Hourly Wage
