Special Education Teacher in Hornbrook, CA

Make a difference supporting students by stepping into a full-time contract role as a Special Education Teacher for the current school year. The assignment is positioned near Hornbrook, CA and offers immediate start dates through the end of the school year. This role is dedicated to providing quality education for students requiring special education services in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) setting. Caseload specifics will be shared during the interview process, allowing you to ask questions and learn more about the students you’ll work with.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working in public school special education settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Organized, adaptable, and a compassionate advocate for students with mild to moderate disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs according to student needs and state regulations
• Deliver engaging instruction and individualized support in resource and/or inclusive classrooms
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance data
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and family engagement
• Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
