Job Description
Make a meaningful impact every day by supporting students in engaging and dynamic educational environments as an Educational Assistant/Paraprofessional. Multiple full-time contract roles are available, offering the chance to work in early childhood, elementary, high school, and specialized program settings. Assignments include opportunities to assist children in preschool, elementary, and high school, as well as collaborate within specialized programs like ATLAS (ages 18–22) and Level IV Behavior Management.
Your dedication and compassion will directly influence learners with diverse needs, aiding educators in creating positive, inclusive classroom atmospheres.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Eligibility under MN Department of Education's paraprofessional pathways: Associate’s Degree, 60 college credits, approved assessment, or another accepted competency route
Openings Across Settings:
- Early Childhood (Preschool, 15–35 hours/week)
- Elementary (7–8 hours/day)
- Specialized Programs: Lincoln Education Center (7.5–8 hours/day), ATLAS (ages 18–22), and Level IV Behavior Management Specialist roles
- High School (7.5 hours/day, supporting ASD & General Education)
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction and IEP implementation
- Assist with behavioral interventions and provide support for students with significant cognitive or behavioral needs
- Facilitate the use of communication devices
- Support student mobility, transfers, and personal care when needed
