Special Education Para Professional in Littleton, CO

Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a reputable school district near Littleton, CO! This contract opportunity offers varied weekly hours across several school sites, working closely with students who have significant or severe support needs. Your daily impact will provide essential guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to children and teens in special education settings.

Available Assignments:

• Elementary school openings at 36.25 and 26.25 hours per week.
• High school positions at 37.5 hours per week.Start date is August 11, with assignments continuing through May 21, 2027.

Desired Background & Skills:

• At least one full year of hands-on experience in a special education classroom is required.
• Experience supporting significant or severe caseloads is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional flexibility: potential for reassignment between school sites and age groups at short notice.
• Ability to report to work promptly at 7:40am (elementary) or 8:00am (middle/high).
• Reliable personal transportation is a must—public transport, ride shares, or taxis will not suffice for district requirements.
• Willingness to assist students with toileting and diapering, as needed.
• Immediate fingerprinting and background check required upon offer acceptance; any felony/misdemeanor will eliminate a candidate from consideration.
• Two completed professional RefAssured references must be submitted with your application.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work directly with students in special education settings, supporting both academic and behavioral goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide a positive, inclusive environment.
• Adapt to changes in assignment or caseload as required by the district.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene for students as needed.
