Classroom Assistant | Anoka, Minnesota

Empower early learners as a paraprofessional working with children ages 2½ to 3 in a dynamic, center-based program. This contract opportunity begins September 8, 2026, and runs through December 7, 2026, offering consistent weekday hours from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Located conveniently near Anoka, MN, this position supports a well-established district dedicated to fostering a nurturing educational experience for its youngest students.

Key Qualifications:

• Must be highly qualified by one of the following:
  • Pass the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam), or
  • Hold at least 60 college credits with official transcripts (not a diploma or degree)
• Experience supporting preschool-age children preferred
• Strong commitment to building positive relationships with young learners
• Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
• Resume and documentation of highly qualified status must be attached for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students aged 2½ to 3 in a structured, center-based curriculum
• Assist certified teachers with lesson implementation, classroom management, and individualized support
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with educational staff and parents to address students’ needs
• Foster positive habits and independence in early learners

Important Notes:

• Candidates will transition to direct hire with the district after 422 contract hours, subject to meeting all requirements
