Job Description
Make a meaningful impact this school year by supporting students as a contract paraprofessional. This full-time opportunity is focused on assisting a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave, offering rewarding hands-on experience in a collaborative educational environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through November 11th, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate’s degree or at least 60 completed college credit hours
- Experience working with students or in school settings is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support learners with diverse needs
- Comfortable using technology to facilitate virtual speech-language sessions
- Adaptable, patient, and committed to student success
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and organizational support to a virtual SLP
- Assist students as directed with speech and language exercises, activities, and follow-up tasks
- Supervise and encourage student participation during virtual sessions
- Maintain documentation and follow confidentiality protocols
- Foster positive relationships with students and contribute to a supportive classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with other educational staff as needed
This position is contingent on the successful placement of a maternity leave Speech-Language Pathologist. Should the SLP role be filled, you’ll play a crucial support role in ensuring students continue to receive essential speech services.
