Instructional Assistant - Arvada, CO

Make an impact supporting students as a paraprofessional within a dynamic school environment located near Arvada, CO! This rewarding contract opportunity spans from August 11th through May 21st, 2027. Your expertise in special education settings will be highly valued as you help foster a positive learning atmosphere and provide crucial support to students with diverse needs.

Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

• At least one full year of experience working in SPED (Special Education) classrooms
• Strong preference for those with significant/severe caseload experience
• Willingness to flex between school sites and age groups as assigned
• Reliable personal transportation (public transit/taxi/Uber does not qualify)
• Readiness to report to work by 7:40am for elementary placements, or 8:00am for secondary schools
• Ability to assist students with toileting and diapering tasks when required
• Must secure two completed, professional RefAssured references prior to submission (applications without these will not be considered)
• Willingness to undergo immediate fingerprinting upon acceptance—any criminal charges will result in disqualification

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with educators to implement individualized education plans
• Providing direct support to students across a range of learning and behavioral needs
• Adapting to various classrooms and grade levels as school assignments change
• Assisting with personal care and mobility for students requiring additional support

This is your chance to work flexible hours at several respected elementary and high school sites, ranging from part-time (26.25 hours/week) to full-time opportunities (up to 37.5 hours/week).
