Instructional Assistant - Pillager, Minnesota

Multiple positions are available in early childhood, elementary, high school, and specialized program settings serving diverse needs—including opportunities at a preschool center, elementary campuses, specialized learning programs, and a high school.

Full-time openings provide the chance to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives while developing your skills in education and support services. Schedules range from 15–35 hours per week in our early childhood programs, while elementary and specialized settings offer 7–8 hours per day. Take part in a collaborative team, engaging in direct classroom and individualized student support.

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Compliance with MN Department of Education paraprofessional standards via an approved pathway: Associate’s Degree, at least 60 college credits, completion of an approved paraprofessional assessment, or other recognized pathway
• Enthusiasm for working with children and young adults with a variety of learning, behavioral, and physical needs

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in educational or behavioral support roles
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs), assistive technology, or behavior management strategies

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide IEP and classroom assistance
• Deliver behavioral and emotional support for students
• Assist with communication devices and mobility/transfers, including personal care as required
• Offer direct aid for students with significant cognitive or behavioral challenges
• Support teachers and specialists in creating a safe, encouraging learning environment
