Safety Specialist

• Serve as a safety resource to operations leadership, supervisors, employees, and contractors.
• Identify workplace hazards through inspections, observations, audits, and risk assessments and drive corrective action.
• Lead or support incident investigations and use findings to develop preventative measures.
• Maintain key safety programs and support OSHA compliance, regulatory audits, hot work, and confined space activities.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying practical ways to reduce risk and improve safety performance.

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of safety experience without a degree.
• Manufacturing or heavy industrial experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
• CSP or similar safety certification is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, work independently, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
