Activities Director

This position plans, organizes, and manages recreational, social, and therapeutic programs to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents.

Core Responsibilities

• Designing Programs: Create monthly and daily calendars featuring games, arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, and spiritual services.

• Assessing Residents: Evaluate individual resident interests, medical needs, and physical or cognitive abilities to tailor participation.

• Tracking and Charting: Document resident attendance, engagement levels, and behavioral responses to comply with healthcare regulations.

• Managing Logistics: Oversee the department budget, purchase craft supplies, and coordinate special events or outings.

• Supervising Staff and Volunteers: Lead activity assistants, schedule helpers, and organize community volunteers or visiting entertainers.

• Collaborating with Teams: Work alongside nurses, social workers, and therapists as part of overall resident care and discharge planning.
