Production Fitter – St. Louis Area
We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join a local manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on position responsible for fitting, aligning, and preparing metal components and assemblies for fabrication while following measurements, drawings, and production specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Fit and position metal components for fabrication
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
- Measure, align, and verify components for proper fit
- Use hand and power tools to prepare materials
- Assist welders and fabricators as needed
- Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety and production procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous fitting, fabrication, or structural steel experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong measuring and layout skills
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
