It's meaningful, hands-on work with real impact on young lives.What You'll DoLead individual and group counseling sessions on substance abuse prevention, recovery, and life skillsAssess student needs through screenings, intake interviews, and ongoing evaluationsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with Job Corps guidelinesProvide crisis intervention and connect students to outside treatment resources when neededPartner with center staff, healthcare providers, and community organizations for holistic student supportFacilitate workshops on substance abuse awareness, prevention, and healthy decision-makingMaintain accurate, confidential case records and progress reportsChampion a safe, drug-free center environmentWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master's preferred)Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent Montana certification - required2+ years of substance abuse counseling experience, ideally with adolescents or young adultsStrong grounding in counseling techniques, recovery models, and community resourcesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skillsComfort working collaboratively in a diverse, student-centered settingNice to HaveExperience in educational or residential program settingsFamiliarity with Job Corps policies and federal guidelinesBilingual ability
